VCT Onsite
VCT is the entry point to addressing the goals of any HIV and AIDS programme, and all future interventions depend on the successful execution.
Advantages of onsite testing
- Offered at the workplace during the days suitable to the employer
- Offered in the language understood by the individual employees
- Confidential and anonymous
- Employees can access the service once they have decided to test
- Offered by professional nurses allocated for 8 hours a day (during the event)
- Decision to test remains voluntary
- Facilitate enrolment onto the Disease Management Programme (DMP) for the HIV-positive individuals
- Follow-up of individuals within 48 working hours through relevant service provider
- Onsite trauma counselling for the difficult situations.
