Prevalence

Metropolitan Wellness is able to conduct prevalence surveys which will ultimately provide our clients with greater knowledge in managing the HIV/AIDS risk, thus enabling them to direct their resources to areas where the greatest impact will be had. By using specific prevalence rates, group life schemes, pension funds and medical schemes can work with more accurate figures than national averages. In addition, HIV/AIDS policies become more relevant and the effect of education and awareness programmes can be measured.

The HIV Prevalence Survey will include the following processes:

  • design and development of the prevalence testing rollout
  • coordination and implementation of the agreed activities
  • quality assurance of the processes
  • data analysis and reporting on the successes and outcomes of the agreed activities
  • safe-keeping of data for our clients after completion of the survey.
