BP Medical Aid Society has contracted certain healthcare providers into networks. Patients are encouraged to visits to these providers as they charge agreed rates.Doctors, specialists and payments
BP Medical Aid Society has a contract with certain doctors and specialists in a specialist network. Patients are encouraged to visit these providers as they charge agreed rates. If a patient visits healthcare providers who are not apart of the specialist network, they may be liable for co-payments.
Claims are required to be submitted within four months of the date of service.

Hospitalisation
Prior to admittance to a hospital, pre-authorisation is required, except in an emergency.
BP Medical Aid Society has contracted with certain hospital groups. Patients are encouraged to visit these hospitals as they charge agreed rates.
If a patient is admitted to any other hospital, he/she may be liable for a co-payment.
These hospitals will submit the claim to the Society, so members do not need to pay the account before or upon discharge.
Pharmacies and dispensing of medication
BP Medical Aid Society has contracted with certain pharmacies for the dispensing of medication. Patients are encouraged to visit these pharmacies as they charge agreed rates. If a patient visits other pharmacies, they may be liable for co-payments.
Collection of medication or delivery of chronic and oncology medication can be organised directly with the pharmacies.
Optical services
BP Medical Aid Society has contracted with Iso Leso for optical services. Patients are encouraged to visit them as they charge agreed rates. If a patient visits any other provider, they may be liable for co-payments.
